However, the latest knowledge does not always reach companies that can turn it into practical products or solutions. Access to up-to-date materials knowledge is therefore essential for companies seeking to strengthen their competitiveness, develop new products, and work more sustainably.

From Knowledge to Value

The journey from research to practical application can be long and complex. That is why the project is called ‘Motorvej’ for Materialeviden. Its ambition is to create a fast and efficient link between the actors who develop new knowledge and the companies that can turn it into value.

The project brings together universities, RTOs, and local Business Support actors in a joint effort to strengthen companies’ access to relevant materials knowledge by reducing the distance between knowledge and practice. LINX serves as the project’s driving force and coordinator by creating connections between actors, facilitating networks, and ensuring that knowledge and experience can be shared more easily across research and industry.

The project is aimed primarily at small and medium-sized companies across a wide range of industries. Materials knowledge is relevant to any company that develops, manufactures, or uses physical products. The determining factor is therefore not the industry a company belongs to, but its level of maturity and ambition to work with new materials and sustainable product development.

What Difference Does the Project Make?

Motorvej for Materialeviden strengthens Danish companies’ ability to work strategically with material selection and make better use of the latest knowledge about materials and technology. The project improves the sharing of materials knowledge and makes it more accessible, enabling more companies to work strategically with both existing and emerging materials while taking advantage of the opportunities created by the green transition.
